Bank Protection & Erosion Control 

Rock armour (Rip Rap) and gabion stone are used to reinforce embankments and protect against erosion from flowing water and wave action. 

These large, angular stones interlock to dissipate energy and reduce undercutting of banks and structures. 

Channel Lining & Bed Stabilisation

Coarse, clean stone is used to armour the channel bed or stabilise scour-prone areas. 

Materials such as graded granite, limestone, or basalt prevent sediment displacement and reduce maintenance needs. 

Puddle Clay & Lining Materials

Puddle clay is used to line canal beds, reservoirs, and retaining areas to reduce water loss through seepage. 

We also offer engineered clay and low-permeability fill for bunds, banks, and sealing works. 

Backfill & Structural Fill

Aggregates are used behind retaining walls, around culverts and in towpath construction for load support and drainage. 

Common materials include Type 1 sub-base, pipe bedding, and granular fills. 

Filtration & Drainage Layers

Clean, washed gravels support natural drainage in canal edges, lock chambers, and control structures. 

Helps to prevent saturation and degradation of surrounding soils.
