Riding Arenas & Ménages

Our arena base materials provide excellent drainage, stability, and shock absorption. 

Ideal build-ups include: 

• Sub-base: MOT Type 1 or Type 3 
• Drainage layer: Washed 20mm stone or clean angular gravel 
• Surface layer: Silica sand, fibre blends, or rubber crumb (sourced separately if needed) 

Gallops & Canter Tracks

Durable, well-draining aggregates designed to withstand high-impact training environments. 

Often constructed with a deep sand or blended surface over a compacted, free-draining base. 

Paddocks & Turnouts

Aggregates are used to improve footing in high-traffic or wet areas to prevent poaching and mud build-up. 

Applications include: 

• Crushed limestone or scalpings 
• Self-binding gravel 
• Drainage stone with geotextile membrane layers 

Stable & Yard Bases

Hard-wearing aggregates ensure long-term stability and proper drainage under stable blocks, barns, and yards. 

MOT Type 1, Type 3, or well-compacted hardcore is typically used beneath concrete or rubber matting.
