Sports Pitches (Natural & Artificial) 

Used for base and drainage layers beneath both natural turf and synthetic playing surfaces. 

Typical build-up includes: 

• MOT Type 1 / Type 3 sub-base 
• Washed drainage stone (typically 10/20mm) 
• Blinding or levelling layer (fine grit or sand) 

Athletics Tracks & MUGAs

High-spec, free-draining sub-bases ensure safe, long-lasting surfaces for running tracks and multi-use courts. 

Fine crushed stone or sharp sand may also be used in base preparation and surface regulation. 

Golf Courses

Aggregates are used across a variety of applications, including:
