Rock Armour &
Rip Rap Supply

Rock Armour & Rip Rap — Engineered Stone for Coastal and Flood Defence Applications

RedRox supplies Rock Armour (Rip Rap) in accordance with the Rock Manual, BS EN 13383, and Series 600 Specification for Highway Works, supporting the construction of coastal revetments, river training works, breakwaters, and flood defence structures across England, Scotland, and Wales.

Material is sourced from approved quarries producing hard, durable igneous and metamorphic rock with high density, low water absorption, and resistance to abrasion and freeze–thaw action. Graded stone typically ranges from 60 kg to 10 tonne nominal mass, supplied as Class I–III or bespoke gradings to meet project design criteria.

Deliveries are available nationwide by road or marine transport, ensuring efficient supply to coastal, riverine, and infrastructure sites throughout the UK.

Rock Armour Applications:

  • Coastal protection and sea defences
  • Riverbank and flood prevention
  • Bridge abutments and outfall protection
  • Erosion control and slope stabilisation
